The Dead Sea is a well-known place for healing and wellness because of the very unique properties of its water. Dead Sea water is made up of 33% salt, about ten times more than the average amount contained in other sea waters. Because of its extremely high salt content, no marine life can survive in the Dead Sea. It is also for the same reason that it was named as such.
